VP Welfare and Community Candidate

This role gives me the opportunity to apply my skills, to grow and to contribute in the most effective manner by being a key and an effective team player. I would maintain a good working relationship with my fellow team members. I have a passion and drive for engaging students to participate in more activities. I will be good listener and observer for making better solutions for students’ issues. I have been working for a last few years with the Students’ Union during my studies so I experience lot of issues and difficulties faced by students like accommodation issues, visa problems and transportation etc.

Let me tell you who I am, I’m an international student studying Engineering in Management. So I have good skills in budgeting and accounts.

If elected I believe the most important policies are:

  • Bring real equality to the Students’ Union.
  • Give students more of a say in the working of their university.
  • Hold sessions where people can meet fellow house hunters – House Hunters Unite!
  • Provide a strong voice for the students to have their say.
  • A Union that is visible.
  • Representative in practical terms.
  • Improve advertisement of the counselling service
  • Support and promote religious festivals.
  • Help relives stress during exam periods.
  • Living costs.
  • Course costs.
  • Sexual costs.

I would like to expand and maximize my creative ideas with my Students’ Union with the help of each students’ vote.
