Free, confidential and independent.
DSU Advice is a free, confidential and independent service for current DMU students.
The service has a team of advisers who are able to help with a range of welfare and academic queries. We can advise on most academic matters from swapping course and academic hearings, to student housing and student disciplinary matters. In some cases we also provide representation at a university meeting.
If we can't help you, we can also usually refer you to someone who can.
How are we governed?
DSU Advice has its own Code of Practice which governs all of the procedures and processes of the service. This covers areas such as confidentiality, conflict of interest, the standard of help you can expect from us as well as your responsilbities when you use this service.
DSU Advice is a member of AdviceUK.
When providing immigration advice, we comply with OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commission) and the OISC Code of Standards. More information on how we can help with immigration queries and the regulations we work to is available here.
