What can we help with?
Free, confidential and independent.
DSU Advice is a free, confidential and independent service for current DMU students only.
The service has a team of advisers who are able to help with a range of welfare and acadwemic queries. We usually provide information and signpost students towards self-help resources, but in some cases further support may be needed so we may offer advice by appointment. In some cases we may provide representation at a University meeting such as Academic Hearings and Disciplinary Hearings.
How is DSU Advice run?
DSU Advice has its own Code of Practice which governs all of the procedures and processes of the service. This covers areas such as confidentiality, conflict of interest, the standard of help you can expect from us as well as your responsilbities when you use this service.
DSU Advice is a member of AdviceUK.
When providing immigration advice, we comply with OISC (Office of the Immigration Services Commission) and the OISC Code of Standards. More information on how we can help with immigration queries and the regulations we work to is available here.
