De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) and De Montfort University (DMU) are committed to working together to tackle discrimination and racial harassment.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is helping DSU and DMU to achieve a better understanding of staff and students’ experiences of racial harassment within higher education institutions (HEIs) and the support on offer…however we need your help!

In order to gather a better understanding of people's experiences and create a supportive and inclusive environment, the EHRC has created an inquiry survey for students and staff to fill in so you can help us to diminish anti-inclusive attitudes.

The survey - which will also be sent to race charities, trade unions and education stakeholders – is now available for you to fill in here.

Following DSU launching an anti-discrimination campaign called #NotOnMyCampus in Berlin with DMU students and DSU Officers, DMU and DSU will be working together this Spring to support and empower students and staff along with the information provided from this survey.

DMU Students launched the #NotOnMyCampus campaign in Berlin along with DSU Officers.

The #NotOnMyCampus campaign - which aims to take a stance against anti-inclusive attitudes - will continue to run for the foreseeable future as DSU works with DMU to support the zero-tolerance initiative.

To take part in the voluntary survey click here and fill it in before the closing date on 28 February.

If you have a racial harassment incident that you wish to support, you can contact DMU Security by phone at 0116 2577642 or via email at security@dmu.ac.uk. You can also report an incident online here. Or if you wish to anonymously report the information, you can contact Crimestoppers here.
