Nominations for the De Montfort Students' Union (DSU) Course Rep Elections are officially...OPEN!

This is your chance to represent your fellow De Montfort University (DMU) students and course mates as a Course Rep for 2019-2020.

Course Reps are the vital link between students and their lecturers and are responsible for letting academics know about the key issues that students face. They are a massively important part of the system we use to represent students’ academic interests at DMU and are here help with any academic issues you might face; from deadline extensions to much bigger issues.

Laura was a Course Rep before becoming your Academic Representation Executive.

Laura Flowers, Academic Representation Executive for DSU said: 'Being a course rep is one of the best things you can do whilst at uni (I promise I’m not bias!). It’s a great way to get involved in making sure that your course is working the best possible ways it can do, all to better your experience.

I nominated myself as a way to make friends in my course, and loved every single second. This is your moment to make a change and your moment to make sure you have your opinions heard, I can’t wait to meet you.'

From Monday 30 September - Monday 14 October, nominations are open for Course Representatives on courses currently without a Course Rep. Do you think you have what it takes to represent students at DMU? Then we need you! Head here to nominate yourself to be the next student leader.

Every course at De Montfort University (DMU) can have a Course Rep. These are students picked by their class mates via an online election, and are trained to help you with any academic issues you might face during your time at university.

If you are interested in having your say in academic issues, now is your time to nominate yourself!
