Course Rep Elections

PLEASE NOTE: Update 24/05/2019

Unfortunately, due to an error with our elections system, many users were unable to cast votes and many candidates did not display in the May bye-elections.

We wholeheartedly apologise for this - we will be re-running the election correctly at the start of next week and information will be communicated to all students at that time. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with voice@dmu.ac.uk if you have any questions in the interim.

Could you be the next Course Rep?

Following our 2019 Officer Team Elections, De Montfort Students' Union (DSU) is looking for students to support our Officer Team and help us to represent your academic interests. Think you could make a difference for fellow students?

We now have even more opportunities to represent your course mates and fellow De Montfort University (DMU) students with our Course Rep Elections.

What is a Course Rep?

Every course at DMU can have a Course Representative. These are students picked by their class mates via an online election. Course Reps are trained to help you with any issues you face at university. They attend key meetings with academic staff and are responsible for letting academics know about the key issues students face. They should also feedback to students when changes are made.

The role of Course Representative is voluntary.

How can I get involved?

Some Course Rep positions are currently available and nominations for these positions are set to open on Friday 3 May. If you have any questions please email voice@dmu.ac.uk.
