WE NEED YOU! CALLING ALL NETBALL PLAYERS...
We are one of the University's biggest clubs with a team competiting in the BUCS League/Midlands Cups and a local league team where those not competing in BUCS have the opportunity to still play competetively. The club welcomes all abilities, no matter if you have played all your life or have never tried the sport before, there is place and team for everyone. BUCS teams train twice a week with additional strength and conditioning sessions run by the University. We also have our Social League which is a new addition for the 2021/22 Season! This league is run within the club and offers a less competitive playing oppourtunities, this will take place every Friday night. There is also DMU Active netball sessions where all abilities can train and play, it's a great way to get involved in netball, stay fit and make friends. All BUCS matches take place on Wednesdays and Wednesday's finish off with our Socials (which you don't want to miss!). With a fierce but friendly rivalry with University of Leicester, our training and hard work throughout the year culminates in an exciting and competitive sporting meet at the end of the year, also known as Varsity. This takes place around March time and is the last competitve fixture of our season.
If you want to come and get fit, join a family of like-minded ladies, meet new people, make new friends and have fun, DMU Netball have a place in the club for you! The only regret you'll have is that you didn't join sooner!
Away from the Netball court we regularly have team bonding activities or club meals.
