We started towards the in the middle of the last academic year and we're still finding our feet. Check back in a few weeks to see how we're getting on!
Our Student Group will... give students a place to meet new people and make new friends. It doesn't matter if you don't have any hobbies or special interests and it doesn't matter if you're in your first, second or third year in university. Having spent the last 2 years in-between lockdowns and social distancing, meeting new people has been extremely difficult. Forming new relationships is such an important part of being at university, so you can have your own support network and be around similar people.
We want to help students meet each other and make their own friendships groups by organizing social trips to the cinema, bowling, pubs or even hosting a few parties here and there. We want to form a society where you don't feel pressured to turn up every week or have external work on top of studying, it would just be nice to have a place to go and meet people for an hour, even if they only ended up coming once or twice. Its open to anyone and everyone and thats what makes this society different from all the others.
