De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU)’s Officer Team have encouraged all postgraduate students at De Montfort University (DMU) to give their views on how the university can enhance the student experience.

Both the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) and Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) are open until Friday 18 May.

The PRES asks postgraduate research students about the learning and supervision experience on their programme, while the PTES examines teaching and learning on taught courses.

Kelly has encouraged all postgraduate students at DMU to give their views on how the university can enhance the student experience.?

Kelly Davies, Postgraduate Students’ Representative at DSU, is studying MA English Language Teaching, and has encouraged fellow Masters and PhD students to provide honest feedback.

She said: “From my personal experience, I know that being a postgraduate student is a whole different ball game from undergraduate study.

“There are different ways to study, and research is a real focus too.

“That’s why I’m encouraging all postgraduate students to fill out the PRES or PTES – whichever is relevant to you – with honest feedback in order to improve the experience even further for postgraduate students at DMU.

“My role was new for this academic year, and these surveys are the next logical step in representation for postgraduate students.”

The surveys are run by DMU with the Higher Education Academy, and results will also be used to guide national postgraduate policy.

Both the PRES and PTES are open for postgraduate students to complete until Friday 18 May.?
