One of the key moments of this summer’s graduation ceremonies is a segment called ‘My DMU Memories’ where you’ll see a selection of your favourite photos of your time at DMU, making your ceremony extra special.

Everyone has those special moments from university life which are worth sharing and what better way to relive those memories than to showcase them in front of your friends and family on your graduation day?!

If you’d like to see yourself and your friends on the big screen at your graduation, share your favourite photos and have them included in your graduating ceremony this July.

It could be a memory from your course, a #DMUglobal trip, a sport or society event or a volunteering project. Whatever it may be, we want you to share it!

You can send in your favourite images via Twitter or Instagram using #DMUgrads, but you'll need to do it by Friday 8 June.

Please consider the following when sending your images;

  • briefly state why the image(s) are important to you;
  • reference the course you are graduating from;
  • ensure you have permission from everyone in your photos for them to be used in the ceremony;
  • and make sure they’re appropriate for a family audience!

Alternatively, you can send your images to dmugraduations@hollandalexander.com. Please ensure if sending via email your photo is high resolution and is attached as a jpeg/png file.

Mike Mayes, VP Media and Communications at De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU), said: “I think it’s great that DMU have given students this amazing opportunity to get personally and directly involved with their graduation ceremony.

“It’s a brilliant way to reflect on all of the amazing memories, lifelong friends and incredible experiences generated throughout your time at university.”

The university is limited by the number of image submissions that can be accepted, so send your images as soon as possible to ensure your memory is shown.

We can’t wait to celebrate your big day with you!

De Montfort University reserves the right to not use your image in the ceremonies at their discretion.
