De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) and De Montfort University (DMU) are looking for natural-born leaders to help us represent students’ academic interests as School Representative Coordinators (SRCs).

SRCs are students who work to make positive change for their peers at a school level as part of the Course Rep system. To be an SRC we want you to be enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate fellow students to engage in university issues.

The opportunity also provides you with the chance to develop leadership and professional skills.

But we recognise this is a massive job – especially if you’re deep in your studies. That’s why in return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive £600 per year.

We are looking for students with the following attributes;

  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • team leadership and team working skills;
  • a professional approach to work;
  • attention to detail and good organisational skills;
  • the ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations;
  • and the ability to enthuse people about DMU and DSU.

You’ll also be fully trained in the role; not only to guarantee you’re best prepared to represent your fellow DMU students, but also to ensure you get the most out of your time as an SRC, too!

If you think you fit the bill or wish to find out more information log onto MyDMU and use the SRC tab to apply before Friday 13 April, or email voice@dmu.ac.uk for more information.

The deadline for SRC applications is this Friday 13 April, through the tab on MyDMU.
