We want to celebrate the festive season and all of the amazing things that your Students' Union has achieved this year with support from the university, and of course - all of you lovely lot! There are 10 massive things in particular that we'd like to share with you this festive season - so here is our #DSUFestive10.
Our second gift to you is StudentCore, your new online learning space.
StudentCore is a place to talk about your course 24/7 created by students, for students.
It’s a virtual learning network – an academic social network if you like – where you can go to discuss your course and work collaboratively instead of those pesky WhatsApp group chats.
It gives you a place to review modules, share and get advice from students across all years, and connect with everyone in the same boat as you in module-specific forums!
DMU graduate Michael Hurley saw that no-one else was doing the same thing and together with DSU has come up with StudentCore exclusively for DMU students. The site will list every course and every module at DMU, so you can find yours and join the conversation.
We asked you what you wanted, and we listened! Keep your eyes peeled in January for the launch of StudentCore and to see how we’re dragging learning into the 21st Century!
