WHAT IS STUDENT COUNCIL?

The Student Council has a dual function. Firstly it will discuss, debate and decide on policies that the union will adopt. Secondly, it will hold the Executive Officers to account for the work that they do.

Any member of DSU can propose policies to the Council, although only council members can vote.

Although some policies are decided by the Council, policies which could greatly effect the workings of the Union will be decided by a referendum.
