Why did you get involved in Volunteering at DSU?
I feel that volunteering is an amazing way to help people whilst gaining experience that I can use later on in life. It also makes me feel great as I know that I have made a difference to my community and to people's lives.
What is the best experience you have had whilst volunteering?
As a MyUniPal mentor it was great to be able to encourage and help my mentee. This is the best experience as they no longer need my help and I feel that I have greatly benefited them and me.
What would you say to anyone thinking about volunteering?
Do it! It will increase confidence and you will experience things that you have never done before. Also it will look great on your CV and in interviews as you will be able to explain all the skills that you gained whilst doing something great!
