Hi, I'm Gurupriya Karasala, an international student from India pursuing my Masters in MSc architecture and sustainability. I earned my Bachelors in Architecture from JNAFAU (Hyderabad, India).

 

About me

I have experience as a student union secretary representing my college in NASA. I have been a leader in my 10th & 12th classes, supporting and representing student voices. I value friendly conversations and embrace different perspectives. Hope you are all well in your studies at Uni!

What I want to Achieve in my second year

  • Students are automatically enrolled in their faculty's academic society, providing opportunities for personal growth through skill enhancement, workshops, and faculty support.
  • Work on providing different opportunities to multicultural societies and groups to help and support celebrating their festivals
  • Organise a forum for international students to better their experience on campus
  • Work on raising awareness of Voluntary options available in DMU and also in local communities to students.
  • Work on International student experience, CAS issues, payment plans. Bring up a new policy for flexible instalments.
  • Encourage students to be active and provide as much as try out sessions or taster sessions to involve them in sports activities
  • Help and support all the students’ groups and societies to organise their events.
  • Work on a central organisational room booking system along with DMU to better the booking process for room bookings and any students or societies
  • Bring out as many as opportunities available for students to make their life in DMU better and happy.
  • Support student entrepreneurs with workshops and resources.
  • Collaborate with departments to provide research opportunities.
