For those of you who don't know me, I am your current Student Academic Executive Officer :)
Whilst this year has been a great opportunity to represent you as students, the time has come for me to progress onto the final year of my Interior Design degree. I am however, still very passionate about advocating for your academic interests and would love to be able to continue to do so alongside my studies!
If I am elected to be the ADH Faculty Lead Representative, I will first continue working on the reinstatement of our Personal Adobe Licenses. I have already identified: why they were revoked in the first place, who the decision makers were behind this, and what is in place to support those being impacted as a result of them being revoked. My next steps involve gathering evidence to present to the university to support the justification of having the Personal Adobe Licenses reinstated, then as your Faculty Rep I will ensure that the university makes future decisions that are in our best interests as students.
In regards to how I will support the Course Representitives within ADH- I was a Course Rep myself during the first and second year of my course, so I can lead them from a perspective of having been in their shoes once upon a time. I also hosted some of their training sessions as an exec, so I have 'insider knowledge' of our academic system works so I can empower them to be confident in knowing how to also be leaders operating in the best interests of their peers.
In essence, I would like to continue to understand your needs, listening to your ideas, and address any challenges that we may face as the ADH student cohort, so please support me by voting Destiny Maz to be your ADH Faculty Lead Representative.
