Hi everyone! My name is Mira and I’m a third year course representative for Fashion Textile Design. I’m standing for the ADH Faculty Lead Representative position, as I’ve been a course representative for all three years of my time at DMU. I’m brilliant at liaising with academics and students, proof of this is seeing changes and feedback be implemented into the future of my course. It truly feels rewarding knowing I’ve had a part in shaping the future of Fashion Textile Designers!
After being recommended by my Programme Leader, I’ve also become a Student Ambassador, where I help out with Portfolio Review Days. This is a chance for prospective students and their families to visit the department, have a one to one chat with academics about their portfolio and ask any questions. My role within this, is to provide a detailed tour of our award winning facilities, which I’m so proud to show as well as our amazing technical staff who endeavour with 100% to make amazing things happen!
I can confidently speak to people, whether it is academics or students, I’m organised and I am passionate about my course!
