Hi, I’m FLUFFY ADEWOLA and I’m happy to announce that I’ll be RE-RUNNING for the position of WELFARE EXECUTIVE OFFICER role for 2024/25 and these are what I intend to ACHIEVE:

  1. Continuation of the FREE BREAKFAST SCHEME to help students cope with COST OF LIVING CRISIS. The proposed continuation of the Free Breakfast Scheme stands as a testament to my commitment to addressing the economic hardships students often face.
  2. The wellbeing of the students is my priority so I want to continue to SIGN POST STUDENTS to relevant services like the crisis cafe, no space for hate, Mandala project, Security etc. I will also be collaborating with the advise team to expand drop-in slots, ensuring that crucial mental health and other support is readily accessible to those in need.
  3. I want to work on a SELF CARE BOOT CAMP which would help students process their emotions in a healthy way. This initiative aims to help students process their emotions in a healthy manner, fostering resilience and overall mental wellbeing.
  4. I want to continue to have a “WELLBEING VIBE CHECK SESSIONS WITH INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS”. This initiative aims to enhance their university experience and foster a sense of belonging, recognising the challenges faced by those without familial support nearby.
  5. I want to work on a YEARLY RAMADAN WELLBEING TALK for the Muslims who are fasting. This is my way of acknowledging and supporting both the religious and wellbeing aspects of fasting during this significant period.
  6. I want to organise a monthly WELLBEING WEDNESDAY GAMES ACTIVITIES for students experience. This monthly event is designed to engage students in enjoyable and stress-relieving activities, contributing to an overall positive and fulfilling student experience.
  7. I want to continue to use my voice to LOBBY FOR CHANGE for STUDENTS.
