I have been deeply involved with Creative Writing for the duration of my course, both as a subject I love, and in positions of responsibility. As I have spent time in both the Creative Writing Ambassadorship, and as Chair of the Creative Writing Society, I am uniquely situated to offer targeted and refined feedback on your behalf to the CREW Team.
My placement in these accessible positions, and how much I enjoy engaging with you all in my course will really help the role swell to the degree where we can really make positive change. I am confident that my availability to you all, whether via message or by dropping in to the CREW Society with suggestions, will make it far easier to create positive change than in previous years.
Over the tenure of this year, I plan to (like any Rep) carry forward your feedback and hopes for the course, but also to encourage a change towards more practical-based learning. This would include more opportunities to practice our craft within and outside of lessons, and a more structured and dependable feedback system for us all to use to gauge the quality of our Writing.
