Dear colleagues,
My name is Eleftherios (many of you know me as Lefteris) and I am nominating myself as a representative of all 3rd year biomedical students.
During the previous years, we all adjusted to a new way of living because of the pandemic. Masks were introduced as an extension of our faces, our hobbies, our daily routine, and our way of studying changed. I am proud of all of us because we accomplished something that was very demanding and challenging.
WE ALL ADAPTED
As we enter our final year of studies, we must readjust our study skills once again since all of our final exams will be held on campus. This decision is extremely unfair, particularly to third-year students.
We all know, the first year is designed to familiarise students with exam pressure and to build confidence for the most important years ahead. We did not have this opportunity, and despite what we have been through over the last two years, we are now facing yet again another challenge during our studies.
Voting for me will not change the fact that our exams will be held on campus, but I will do everything in my power to make this year easier and less difficult. Everyone has the right to express their concerns, and I am eager to discuss with our tutors anything that my colleagues require or suggest with no hesitation.
