Hi everyone! My name is Seemal and I would love to be your course rep for next year :)
Why me? We are heading into our third and most important year yet where we will be preoccupied with our learning but also starting to think about things beyond our degree. It's therefore essential for us to get continuous support and guidance from our lecturers regarding all aspects of the course and I intend to make this happen.
In this role, I plan to:
- work diligently with other course reps to improve and maintain good communication links between the faculty and students
- make students aware promptly of changes and decisions being made that can impact our learning
- ensure your voices are always heard and relay feedback to the faculty to let them know what we are struggling with, e.g. particular topics, modules, portfolios, and placements
- have resources and more guidance on pre-reg placements, work experience, and extra-curricular opportunities available for students
To deliver on these aims, I will use my experiences as a children's mentor and spokesperson in my local community group which I feel have given me the skill-set needed to take on the responsibilities and become your course rep.
