I am looking for re-election as your single honours course representative for Arts and Festivals Management. In the past year, I have actively attended our student voice meetings and worked to improve on any flaws in our course. I believe I have represented our Year One students well as the only present member at these meetings. I have worked to improve our flaws in group work, made comments on worrying assignments and given a thorough and well-rounded overview of our first year. As a result, some valuable changes have been made to our course from which we will benefit greatly. I would like to continue this work next year and work to make sure your voices are heard. I aim to create a welcoming and productive work environment within our course and straighten out any and all issues that arise throughout our second year. Academically I see myself as a good student, achieving good grades with good attendance and a strong commitment to the work I do. I aim to continue to transfer this commitment to helping improve our course. However, I also aim to highlight the strengths that our course has and hopefully better each student’s learning experience. Socially, I am easily contactable, welcoming and available to talk to my course mates at most times. I aim to be here and offer help where I can. I believe I am someone you can trust with your hopes and worries, and I will strive to communicate these clearly to the committee. I will improve on my representation skills by setting aside time to talk directly to my fellow students and understand fully everyone’s concerns and highlights. All of this will help me represent the year group with honour and make an impactful difference on your experience at university.
