I would like to to continue to represent my peers on the Electrical and Electronic Engineering course as we progress into our second year.
As Course Representative, I believe it is important to be a link between the students and our module leaders, raising queries and concerns about academic aspects of the course as well as providing appropriate signposting for any other issues relating to student life; such as travel disruption for international students travelling home between term time and accomodation enquiries for those in halls/rented accomodation.
During my first year as Course Rep, I have arranged deadline extensions for students who needed them as well as communicating with lecturers that students required catch-up sessions, which were then organised. During these uncertain times, I know that many students, myself included, are anxious about how the Coronavirus pandemic will affect our studies. I have received several messages regarding deadlines and changes to assessment practices which I have passed on to relevant module leaders to ensure that we all are kept up-to-date.
If elected for a second year, I will continue to be an approachable and professional intermediary to help all of my course mates continue their studies and achieve their full potential.
