Hi everyone! My name is Neha Lathia, and I’m running for the Course Representative elections for Year 2 Biomedical Science. I am an organised, friendly and approachable individual who always puts my 100% commitment into every task I carry out. I believe I have the relevant skills that make me the right person for this role. Through volunteering for several years at a local primary school, I have developed strong communication skills, not only through leading and teaching a class of students but also communicating with other volunteers, parents and visitors. As a course rep, I will regularly communicate with my peers, listen to any feedback relating to our course, and ensure it is addressed. In addition to this, my determination to make a difference can be seen through various charity work I’ve done. For example, I raised awareness about young carers on BBC Breakfast as well as numerous radio stations around the UK. We are all on the same team, and it’s our education! If there’s something that’s not right, we can fix it: whether it’s related to the timetable, the course modules or anything in between. Every student’s voice deserves to be heard. Together, we can make a positive difference for our future.
