Jaimee Tuck

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to read my manifesto on why I would love for you to vote for me as your third year nursing course rep!
My name is Jaimee and I am studying adult field of practice nursing and I am in the March 2018 cohort. I am currently the acting health and safety officer for the Nursing Society here at DMU and I am a student ambassador for The Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
I like to think of myself as a person who is easy to talk to, any questions or concerns about the course, no matter how big or small I would love to hear, and I promise I will feed them back to the appropriate people/places so that your voices as student nurses get heard. I understand and know first hand this is not an easy course, we are not your 'average' students and I promise to encourage the people higher up to see and understand this.
It is a tough year for all third year students with industrial action and as I'm writing this, with the decicion to close the university for online lectures due to covid-19.We are in an uncertain time due to practicals and assessments being postponed but I will fight for what we have seemily missed to be rescheduled. I will fight for us to recieve everything we are entitled to to allow us to be the best future of the nursing workforce we can be. I will always put your views first, whether I agree or disagree. In nursing we have to advocate for people and I will advocate for you.
Please vote for me, I am passionate, hardworking and ready to support you in your final year.
