ABOUT ME
I’m Ajinkya Yadav, a postgraduate student in Cyber Security and I’ll be running to be your Postgraduate Students' Representative! I’ve been studying this course from last September. I’ve completed my Bachelors in Computer Science. In past few months, I’ve observed many problems are faced by postgraduate students regarding their finances, their timetables, activities, events and placement opportunities. These are very small but important problems and cannot be overlooked. This has steered me to stand for this role so that these problems can be solved easily.
I have three main goals to achieve during my time as Postgraduate Students' Representativer:
ACADEMIC
- I’ve seen many PG students frustrated about their time-tables and constantly change in lectures. My aim will be to focus on the pre-scheduled time-table and lectures so that the students can be prompt without missing out any of the lectures.
- There are many events which PG students can’t attend because of their lectures. I will try and make sure that these events and their lectures do not clash, and they can attend almost every event.
FINANCE
- There are many PG students who support their own education and sometimes struggle financially. I will try to help them by providing solutions by discussing the problems with them, face to face.
- Help them find part-time jobs.
PLACEMENT OPPURTUNITY
- There are many events regarding placements, but many PG students still don’t attend these sessions. I will deliver the importance of these sessions.
- Many students don’t know which companies are suitable for them, which roles are offered by the company and where to apply. I will give detailed information on the placements and keep them in touch with our placement team.
- Helping placement team by keeping a track of students and encouraging them.
