Campaigns

Campaigning for you!

Making sure you have an excellent student experience at DMU is what we’re here to help you achieve and one of the ways we can do this is campaigning.

DSU will campaign on behalf of you, but we also encourage you to get involved. Imagine the impact our 27,000 students could have with successful campaigning potentially positively impacting your studies, wellbeing, local community and even national issues facing students.

Campaigning is not just about raising awareness though; it is about identifying the source of the problem, and who has the power to change it, then mobilising students and others to try and influence or force the change you want to see.  Campaigning is about making a tangible change to law, policy, behaviour or practice for the benefit of you, your fellow students and maybe even the wider community.

Your Executive Officer team would love to hear from you if you have an idea for a campaign, contact them here. Or, you can contact the DSU staff team at voice@dmu.ac.uk.

Just one thing to remember – campaigning should not break the law or bring DSU in to disrepute, we cannot support you if your campaign plans to do anything illegal or breaches any University policies.
