What is MyUniPal and how does it work?
The short answer is anyone who is starting a course at DMU this year. We accept applications from all types of students. It doesn't matter if you're a: Home Student; International Student; Masters Student; PhD Student; Coming straight from College; Have had a Gap Year; Mature Student; Student Parent; Part Time Student; Full Time Student; Distance Learner; Erasmus Student; Living in Halls; Living at Home; Basically any student who is new to DMU. If you want a UniPal to help you settle into University life and building your own Student Experience then signing up will be the perfect thing for you.
Who can be a MyUniPal Mentor?
Do you want to use your knowledge to help others settle into life at DMU? Do you want to pass on your wisdom? Do you remember how you felt when you first arrived at DMU? Are you prepared to volunteer your time to MyUniPal? Then his will be the scheme for you.
- Registered DMU students who have been here for at least 1 year.
- Students who are prepared to attend activities with their UniPals (we organise them).
- Students who are willing to meet your UniPals regularly to offer relevant advice.
- Students who will attend training sessions to help you develop as a UniPal.
