With so many exciting opportunities and experiences, university life can be very demanding on students time and money. Budgets are often neglected until financial crisis hits, at which point financial concerns suddenly take priority. Unfortunately by this time, the hardships and stress of being broke can make the problems harder to face. This is unfortunately too common an experience - one that the advisers in the Welfare Support Centre are working to prevent. Our aim is to promote awareness about good financial planning, as well as what to do if financial problems do arise.

The aim of the Money Mentor pages are to give you the information you need to manage your money successfully, and to know where to come for advice if you run into difficulty.

Use the below links to view a number of resources including our leaflet “Managing Your Money”, a sample financial statement, detailed advice about TV licensing and income tax.
