The University has its own rules regarding student behaviour and may take action against any student under the disciplinary code if it feels their conduct falls short of the required standard. The University is able to investigate any student’s conduct in order to check whether a student is guilty of a disciplinary offence.
If the University feels that there is strong evidence to suggest a student’s conduct is not as it should be, that student could be required to attend a disciplinary meeting or hearing where if the charge is proven, they will receive a punishment.
This leaflet sets out more information on this area. If you are asked to meet with DMU Security or are asked to a meeting or hearing, please seek further advice from us. We can attend any meetings with you, represent you at a hearing and will give you advice as to the regulations.
