The DMU Safety Net Policy is in place to support you in achieving your potential during difficult times.
(Disclaimer - The Safety Net policy is only in place for the academic year of 2020/21. Some of these regulations might not be appropriate for programmes regulated by Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs)).
Do you have a Personal or Technological issue relating to lockdown that is interfering with your assessments?
(This is not automatic, make sure your module leader is aware of your circumstance and that this agreed and you have it recorded!)
Good news for reassessments for the 2020/21 academic year!
A first reassessment for an assignment, will be treated as a first attempt and the module mark(s) will NOT be capped!
Remember, this only applies if you have handed something in. If you fail as a result of non-submission, the standard regulations apply.
(If you fail the reassessment the normal resit will then apply and the overall module will be capped at the pass mark.)
Progression and Degree Outcomes!
Deferrals of an assessments due to circumstances beyond your control relating to lockdown.
(Make sure this is the best option for you! Speak with your Student Advice Centre about your circumstances before making a deferral request, as a deferral may interfere with your degree progression)
Please note that some of these regulations might not be appropriate for programmes regulated by Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs).
