DMU Equestrian is one of the fastest growing sports teams at De Montfort University, welcoming riders of all abilities from experienced riders looking to compete on one of the teams to people looking to try something new!

Members ride at Witham Villa Riding Centre which has horses suitable for all abilities and has excellent facilities which mean that we are able to train in all weathers, offering flexible riding times and excellent student discounts for DMU Equestrian.

For more experienced riders, there is the opportunity to compete for DMU in one of the competitive teams. There are currently three teams, one that competes in BUCS and one in a friendly league, all of which train every Wednesday. Additionally, we have a development squad for less confident riders or people that are unable to commit to teams. The competitions involve a dressage test and a show jumping round which varies in height for each team. The strength of our teams makes this a very exciting time to be joining DMU Equestrian.
