Do you fancy joining something new and exciting? Then Lacrosse is the sport for you! Known as ‘the fastest sport on two feet', Lacrosse is great for those looking to get into something different.
We have both men and a womens team at DMU. The men play full-contact while the women play non-contact Lacrosse. Collectively known as the DMU Eagles, our club has continued to grow and develop over recent years.
Both our men's and women's team compete in BUCS against teams around the midlands. Games are played on Wednesday's and regularly occur throughout the academic year. We also have cup games and the intense varsity fixture at the end of the year against University of Leicester.
Men and Women's teams train on Monday 8:30-10pm at Beaumont Park instructed by top coaches with years of experience. We meet at Bede island @ 7:45pm Monday and Friday. We can provide all the basic equipment to new players.
As well as having the sport element, we also have an incredible social atmosphere featuring different themed nights every Wednesday
If you're worried about being new to the sport, don't! Nearly every player at DMU first picked up a Lacrosse stick when they first started university and we have not had a single person saying they regret trying it!
