Welcome to the DMG (Formally DMU Esports)!
We are a student group that supports a large range of games such as League of Legends & TFT, Overwatch, CS:GO, Valorant, Rocket League, Hearthstone, Rainbow Six Siege, Tekken, Smash and more. We focus on both competitive and casual gaming and everyone is welcome to join!

Annual Membership: £5.00
Our annual membership fee supports the funding of our events and activities throughout the year. Membership can be bought at any point in the year, and all memberships will expire at the end of the 2025/26 academic year.
Discord
The hub for our casual and competitive activity is our Discord, where we have different channels for each type of game as well as a place for general talk. There are usually members playing together in voice channels, and people who are actively looking for other players to join them. It's a great place to meet new people with similar interests and for Freshers to get to know people before they make the big move to uni. We currently have many opportunities to partake in our own in-house tournaments, or gaming nights over Discord!
Competitive Players
For competitive players who aim to take their interests further, we offer opportunities to compete in the University Esports UKI, and the National Student Esports (NSE) against other UK University teams/players. DMU players of any skill level are encouraged to join as teams are set up in advance to accomodate for all skill levels. Here's some of our team's achievements in recent years:
Weekly Socials
We alternate weekly between doing online weekly games and in person socials. Our inperson soicals are a variety of things such as pub meets, food trips, house parties & nights out, and many more events! We usually have a great turnout, such as our Alton Towers trip a few years ago, our most recent Christmas meal, Karaoke, trips to Mosh, and also quiz nights!
