The DMU Conservative Students' Society aims to give a voice to all students, to broaden debate on campus. We aim to take action and make our voices heard about a number of issues both on a local and a national level.
For those who are interested, we will have some fantastic opportunitites to work with the local Conservative Party in campaigning and other events, as well as the chance to meet various people from within the party. Previous visitors have included:
Nicky Morgan MP
Nigel Huddleston MP
Neil O'Brien MP (honourary President)
Ben Patterson (former MEP)
Rupert Matthews (former MEP)
Other activities also include regular socials and nights out.
The Society also takes part in regular debates in association with the University with #bethechange debates taking place more than once a term. To be considered to be put forward to represent the society, ask one of our committee members.
We also have a Women's Conservative Women's Branch! For more details on this, contact Zeena Mistry or follow @DMUWomen on Twitter.
