Welcome to the Midwifery Society!

Welcome

Firstly, a warm welcome from our newly elected chair of the committee; Charlotte Gadsby:

Hello and a warm welcome from your new midwifery society. Our aim is to unite cohorts to provide an enhanced learning experience during our time at DMU through educational and social events. Our first event will be an infant loss screening, details are in the pipeline and are close to being finalised. It would be great to see new faces to share this learning opportunity with. We are also organising a Christmas lunch  to celebrate our hard work and achievements this year, and will be sending invites shortly. This is a great opportunity to get to know the society better and most importantly to meet new friends. We are also in discussions with various guest speakers who are willing to come and share their knowledge and experience with us. We hope to be posting dates in the new year, as well as the 2018 conference. So as you can see there is lots going on in such a short space of time. Please do get in touch via social media or come and speak to us about joining at our upcoming events - the  more the merrier!
I look forward to meeting you all soon,

Charlotte.
