Why did you get involved in volunteering at DSU?
I got involved in volunteering at DSU because I wanted to fill my time with something useful and that helped others. This was the perfect opportunity to help people and to use my time for good.

What have you been doing when it comes to volunteering at DSU?
I have done a lot of different actives with DSU Volunteering, from helping new arrivals, writing cards to sick children to brighten their day and even assisting with the guide dog visits! It's been wonderful.

What has been the best part of your volunteering activity?
The best experience I have had whilst volunteering was the visit to Twycross Zoo. It was an incredible day and I made a lot of friends from the volunteering team. This is also the trip that inspired me to start volunteering more often.

What would you say to anyone thinking about joining volunteering at DSU?
I would say that they should do it! It doesn't take long and it is nice to give something back. I'm busy all the time but I enjoy volunteering so much, I still find time. The staff are lovely, the fellow students are lovely and you get to help so many people. It also looks so good on your CV.
