We are aware that some Chinese students have been approached by people presenting themselves as 'agents' offering assistance with university applications or with advice on immigration and visas. These people may often try to charge students a large amount of money, for advice that may be of poor quality, misleading or incorrect.

We strongly advise you to be very careful if you are approached by an 'agent' for their services, and not to pay any money to them, or to share any personal details. If you are looking for advice on Postgraduate study, you can discuss options with the Employability and Careers team in the Student Gateway who would be very happy to provide free and reliable guidance. Free advice on visas and immigration is available at DMU through DSU Welfare team (based in the Campus Centre).

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please do not hesitate to contact your teacher, or the International Student Support team in Student Gateway.
