New Role Added to By‑Election: Health and Life Sciences (HLS) Postgraduate Faculty Lead
We’re pleased to announce that our upcoming By‑Election will now include an additional position: HLS Postgraduate Faculty Lead.
This change has been made because the HLS Postgraduate Faculty Lead role, previously filled during the main Student Leadership Elections, has recently become vacant.
To ensure that HLS postgraduate students continue to have strong representation, we are reopening the position for election.
About the Role
The HLS Postgraduate Faculty Lead plays a key part in championing the academic experience, and student voice of postgraduate students across the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences. They work closely with course reps, faculty leadership, and the Students’ Union to make sure postgraduates are heard and supported throughout the year.
Who Can Run?
To be eligible, candidates must:
-
Be a current student at DMU
-
Remain a student for the entire term of office (July 2026 – June 2027)

If you're committed to advocating for your peers and want to help shape change across the faculty, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved.
