Has your lecturer gone above and beyond, or maybe they’re just amazing in their own way? Now’s the chance to give them the recognition that they deserve by nominating your lecturer for the Vice Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Awards 2019-20.
De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU) and De Montfort University (DMU) have come together to identify lecturers, tutors and teachers that are exceeding student expectations.
You can have your say by nominating someone who you think is deserving of this award. All you need to do is tell us why they should win – they might have gone the extra mile, supporting you to ensure that you can be the best that you can be, or they could just be generally brilliant!
If you have a lecturer in mind that’s had a positive impact on your time at DMU, nominate them today.
DSU Academic Executive Laura Flowers says “The award is designed to say thank you to teaching staff who have gone above and beyond to help us and have been really great lecturers in the process.
“I presented the 18/19 award and all the recipients were all so incredibly touched at how much their students cared about them. It was great for them to hear how their work had impacted on us.
“So, if you have a lecturer who particularly stands out to you and inspires you to learn more, please nominate and give them the praise they rightfully deserve.”
You can make as many nominations as you like but make sure you do it before nominations close on Friday 7 February 2020.
The winners will be announced, alongside recipients of the Vice-Chancellor’s Distinguished Student Awards – nominated by teaching staff – at the university’s Outstanding Service Contribution and Achievement Recognition Awards (OSCARs) later this academic year.
