Students were able to grab a pre-Christmas bargain or two when they visited The Clothes Show Live in Birmingham with DSU’s Give It A Go.

32 students were lucky enough to grab tickets to The Clothes Show Live – either at the discounted rate of £24 including travel, or as part of six pairs of tickets that were given away on Give It A Go’s new Twitter.

Clothes Show’s main exhibition and shop houses stalls from boutiques, brands, vintage, beauty and even universities – including one made up of DMU third-year fashion students.

And, if the massive amount of clothes on sale wasn’t enough for any fashion aficionado, they could then watch an hour-long show in the in the main theatre, featuring models and dancers in a variety of costumes.

Give It A Go Co-ordinator Fern Beard was among those who made the journey to the NEC and managed to pick up a few bargains on the last day of the show.

She said: “The Clothes Show again was a brilliant day, everyone that went had a fab time; Sam Davis from DSU Sports and I definitely did!

“We’re looking forward to organising some more brilliant events for next term.”

Keep your eyes peeled for further exciting opportunities on the Give It A Go page here or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
