Let’s celebrate our Course Representatives for Term 1, these students have gone above and beyond to support their peers and provided a positive experience to other students on their course:
✨WINNER: Sumayyah ✨
Sumayyah was carefully selected by three Student Voice Leaders (SVLs) after reviewing the nominations and concluding that this student had the strongest case but also for receiving multiple nominations all of which strongly supported the SVLs decision.
One of the Nominations highlighted how Sumayyah is extremely supportive and always willing to help her classmates by clarifying difficult points. She made students feel heard, improved the understanding of course materials and her overall genuine care for everyone’s success.
As a course Rep Sumayyah helped reduced stress for many students, she did this by opening up the communication between students and lectures by professionally representing them, this made them feel confident and motivated.
✨RUNNER UPS: Megan & Neelofar ✨
One nomination described Megan was a real advocate for the students on her course, she became the voice and showed great enthusiasm which really made a positive change.
Another nomination made for Neelofar quoted she ensured the students on her course had a voice by getting feedback from them and ensuring she connected with them. Her fellow peers saw her as being brave but also conscientious when making a change.
