Varsity is here!

On 21 February 2016 the biggest sporting rivalry in the world will re-ignite for a showdown unlike any other when De Montfort University and the University of Leicester come together in the biggest and fiercest varsity clash to date.

Rackets will be broken, shins will be splintered, egos will be shot and chlorine will get in people’s eyes (this hurts).

University of Leicester host the titanic events this year, so we’ll be marching into enemy territory to bring home the spoils!

From American Football to Trampolining and from Ultimate Frisbee to Mountaineering – plus the classic Football and Rugby clashes at Oadby Town FC and Welford Road respectively – there’s something for everyone to get behind.

Teams and individuals across all sports will swing, climb, jump and shoot their way into sporting folklore right up until the final battle on 16 March.

To those competing we wish you good luck (not that you need it) and to every DMU student we call on you to clap, cheer and scream your support. Your fellow students will need you if we are to take the spoils from our pesky neighbours...
