Whether you’re part of a sports team, a society or Demon Media; a volunteer or a course rep, we want to celebrate all that you do and achieve at De Montfort Students’ Union and that’s exactly what our awards season is all about.
First up on Friday 15 April we’ve got The SULETS DSU Volunteering Awards 2016 to celebrate the contribution your volunteering has made to the local community and to recognise special achievements. This year we’ll be turning our very own Level 1 into an American Diner and the evening will feature a welcome drink and buffet, fundraising quiz and American Diner-themed photo booth. Next is The SULETS Student Voice Awards 2016 on Friday 22 April. We want to thank you for a record breaking year for Student Voice at DSU – we could not have had the impact, positive change, and the fantastic year without you and to recognise all of your hard work we will be presenting the Vice Chancellor’s Distinguished Student Award, Course Rep of the Year Award, SRC of the Year Award and Unsung Hero award. We’ll be celebrating at The Grand Mercure Hotel Leicester with a three-course meal, arrival drinks, and evening entertainment. Tickets to this amazing night are only £15. Hot on its heels we’ll be on to The SULETS DSU Societies Awards 2016 on Wednesday 27 April. We’ll be transforming The King Power Stadium into a Great Gatsby-themed party venue where there will be lots going on to entertain you plus the ten big prizes. You’ll get a drink on arrival, a two-course dinner, entry into our prize raffle and free entry into the official after party at Injunction all for just £15. Read our preview of this event here.
After that we’ll hot step it to The SULETS Colours Awards 2016 on Friday 13 May at The Athena. We’ll be handing out awards for all of our top sports teams and individuals and celebrating Varsity and league successes. Finally, awards season will be rounded out with The SULETS Demon Media Awards 2016 on Friday 27 May. Expect a lot of laughs, tears and epic moments as we draw another year to a close at St Martins House. Your £17.50 ticket will gain you entry to the event, a drinks reception and two-course buffet.
