The centrepiece of the campus is due to be overhauled over the next twelve months to give students more space for relaxing, socialising and making the most of their university life.
DSU will have even more space in the new building, taking over the downstairs areas currently used as a food hall and retail space.
CPMG, who also designed DMU’s Hugh Aston building and brand new Fletcher Complex, will oversee the project.
They will gather the views of students and DSU staff before presenting the final plans later this year.
