Event Plan – Young People Help Charity Society

We are hosting a charity event on Wednesday 13th at the Campus Centre Building, De Montfort University.

Event Schedule:

  • 10:00 – 11:00: Set-up
  • 11:00 – 15:30: Event open to attendees
  • 15:30 onwards: Pack-up and clean-up

Stalls Overview:
There will be four stalls in total:

  1. Food Stall – Homemade baked goods
  2. Entertainment Stall – Interactive activities (henna, games, etc.)
  3. Clothing Stall(s) – Student-run brands and second-hand clothing sales

Each stall will be provided with seating (total of 8 chairs available).


Team & Roles:

  • 9 stall operators managing the stalls
  • 4–5 volunteers assisting stall holders, supporting setup, customer flow, and general organisation

Food Safety & Hygiene:

  • All food items will include a full ingredient list
  • Clear allergy information will be displayed on posters at the stall
  • Stall holders have been informed of their health and safety responsibilities, including safe food preparation and handling

Payments & Equipment:

  • We will require 3 card readers to support cashless payments
  • Stall holders may also accept cash if they choose

Profit Distribution:

  • 20% of profits from each stall will be donated to the charity (Young People Help)
  • 80% of profits will go directly back to the student stall holders
  • All participants are aware of and have agreed to this arrangement

Charity Purpose:
Funds raised will support our next initiative: preparing and distributing food packages for a local homeless shelter, Unity House.


Additional Notes:

  • Ensure all stalls are clearly labelled
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the event
  • Volunteers will help manage crowd flow and general support
  • A brief team check-in before opening is recommended to confirm roles and responsibilities
