Ganesh Chaturthi at DMU is a vibrant cultural celebration that welcomes everyone to experience Indian traditions, music, and joy! It’s a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed god known as the remover of obstacles and the symbol of wisdom and new beginnings. At DMU, students usually come together to set up beautiful decorations, perform traditional prayers (called aartis), enjoy delicious Indian food, and take part in dance and music. It’s not just a religious event—it’s a great way to meet people, learn about a rich cultural tradition, and feel part of a diverse community. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or beliefs!
