Hi, I'm Amber Jade and I am standing for Course Rep for MA Performance Practices.
I feel I am an eligible candiate for this role as I have had 3 years prior experience being a student at DMU, but with taking a year out before starting my MA I also have worldly experience and have seen how other education systems run their rep meetings - having been part of the ‘staff voice’ as part of my secondary school role. I am a confident, passionate individual and feel I could convey the ideas and feelings of myself and my peers in a constructive, to-the-point manner during meetings.
On a more personal level, as a commuting student throughout my whole university life, I feel this role would give me the chance to make new social connections which would enrich my life and help me connect with others around the university. I also feel I could bring a commuters perspective to the table and feel this would be valuable to a number of students who are just like me. I have spent a long time deliberating studying the MA and now I am finally doing it - I want to accept and put my all into any opportunities that come my way, starting with this one!
