Hey so you've arrived at my manifesto! Anyways my name is Rean and I'm a third year Bachelors student of Journalism & Politics at DMU. I live in Birmingham and have been commuting to uni here in Leicester so far. I'm really interested in politics and current affairs and so have always wanted to represent and serve people myself. In college, I served as my class' student rep and became a trusted link between the staff and the students and so I want to be able to serve students once again. If I am elected, I will be an honest, dependable and trustworthy representative for those on the Joint Honours Journalism & Politics course. For those on the course, I will make your voice heard and you will have someone who cares for you and your interests and I won't let you down. I wish to achieve the five following things
-
Getting more support and help for students on the course at this time of uncertainty
-
Allow students to give feedback and have that transform into positive change on the course quick and efficiently
-
Give students the option to work and study entirely online if they wish to do so
-
Allow some more flexibility regarding assignment deadlines in a way to better distribute workload
-
Allow for students to have input in and decide flexibility regarding timetables and the structure of classes themselves
As a course representative, I will make sure your voices matter and are heard and that this will transfer into beneficial positive change. If I am elected, each person on this course will have their voices heard and I will do my utmost best to make this course better for them.
