Candidate for the position of Year 2 Representative:Visual Effects (VFX) - Rep

Antony Buckman

Visual effects is a pretty demanding course for a competitive industry; you are expected to use anything from photoshop to maya to nuke seamlessly. With such a high skill ceiling with tight deadlines after graduating, it's important to have a good amount of communication between lecturers and students, and also, for issues to be brought up and resolved quickly. As a student representative I would bridge this gap and help resolve the issues that students have, ranging from software issues, to areas of study that students feel they need help with or to learn. With coronavirus, issues of software being expensive to students, only available on a limited amount of computers, or not even on classroom computers have harmed student's abilities to learn and complete assignments. Somebody has to save our skins.
