Who am I?
My name is Thomas Carter (but you can call me Tom!), and I am going into my second year of studies at De Montfort University, studying Journalism. For the last year I have been an active member of DMU society, hosting two weekly shows on Demon FM and writing for the student magazine. Please see below my aims and ambitions for being the 2020/21 Course Rep, and if you have any questions feel free to ask!
Manifesto polices/four-point plan:
· Create a strong link between staff, module leaders and students, ensuring all voices are heard and concerns are taken with care.
· Implement a large social media presence/easy-to-contact system so that students know who to talk to if they have issues, questions, or feedback.
· Actively attend all committee meetings throughout the year, asking the tough questions as well as reporting the positives within the year.
· Work with students to enhance their confidence skills, ranging from public speaking to assistance with academic work.
